Monday, March 14, Stream Observations

Conditions:
Date: 03/14/2016
Time: 11:15 AM
Weather: Cloudy, 57 degrees F, slight breeze

Observations:
Stream Conditions: medium to low turbidity, clear water, some small bubbles
Stage behind Weir: Reading = 14 cm; Actual = 36 cm
Observations that may affect water quality: There was a small amount of trash present in the stream that could be a result of runoff from rainy conditions over the weekend.
Other: Some slight runoff from nearby West Campus Drive. A heavy rainstorm rolled through Blacksburg at around 6 pm today producing high flows in the stream, which can be seen in the LEWAS data and the image below.
