February 9,2016

Weather Conditions:
-3 degrees Celsius (felt like -8 degrees Celsius)
 -9 mph wind

Time of Visit: 1:21 pm

Conditions of the Stream: Fewer bubbles along the top of the water. The team speculated yesterday that this could be due to pollution from upstream or just bubbles that have formed when oxygen enters the stream as it crosses from sub-critical to super-critical flow. The stream also seems higher than yesterday with respect to the reading behind the weir. This could be due to the light snow precipitation over the past 24 hours.

The stage behind the weir was approximately 37 cm (1.21 feet). This would result in a flow of  7.57  cfs.

The quality of the stream was not affected by sediment from runoff.
There were a few branches along the stream which have been seating at the same spot since yesterday evening. However, the turbidity was medium/high today; the stream was cloudier than yesterday. This could be due to snow melt carrying soil off the land into the stream.
