Conditions:
Date: 3/31/2016
Time: 1:55 PM
Weather: Overcast, 63°F, breezy
Observations:
Stream Conditions: low turbidity and flow
Stage Behind Weir: Reading = 12cm, Actual = 33 cm
Observations: Although the day was overcast with rain seeming likely, there was only light drizzling in the second half of the day. The LEWAS stream data agrees with this observation as the turbidity slightly increases during the parts of the day the drizzling occurred; however, this slight increase in turbidity could have been the result of something else entirely since the rain that fell was not substantial. The flow rate was steady throughout the day with no spikes indicating that any rainfall during the day did not affect stream flow much at all. Another interesting observation is that the water temperature did not decrease much at all during the night like in the past where there was an increase in temperature during the day and a substantial decrease in temperature at night.
Analysis:
Estimated flow rate from weir data: 5.52 cfs
